Terms of Service
By downloading or using Sunward (the "App"), provided by NorthOS ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Sunward is a personal tool for tracking antidepressant and anxiety treatment using validated screening questionnaires (PHQ-9, GAD-7), moods, medications, and related notes, and for organizing that information into a report you can share with your clinician.
Sunward is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The PHQ-9 and GAD-7 are screening questionnaires; a score is not a diagnosis. Information in Sunward is for your own awareness and for discussion with a qualified healthcare professional. Always follow your clinician's guidance, and never start, stop, or change a medication based on the app.
Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of anything in Sunward.
Sunward is not for emergencies and does not contact emergency services. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988, call 1-833-456-4566 (Talk Suicide Canada), call your local emergency number, or go to the nearest emergency room.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sunward on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and Apple's EULA.
Sunward stores your information on your device (and in Apple Health if you allow it). We do not operate servers and do not receive your data — see the Privacy Policy. Because your data is local, you are responsible for retaining it (e.g., via device backups). Deleting the app deletes its on-device data, and we cannot recover it for you.
Sunward is a one-time purchase made through the App Store. All billing, payment, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly. There is no subscription.
You agree not to misuse the app, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, or use it in any unlawful way or on behalf of anyone without their consent.
Sunward, its design, and its content (excluding your own data and the third-party questionnaires, which are used as published) are owned by NorthOS and protected by law. The PHQ-9 and GAD-7 are used as published by their respective copyright holders.
Sunward is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations are free of error.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NorthOS will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Sunward. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves; the effective date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
