Your data never
leaves your hands.

Sunward is a treatment-companion app made by NorthOS ("we," "us," "our"). We built it to be private by design: your data has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone and, if you allow it, in your own Apple Health record. We do not collect, receive, see, sell, or share it.

Sunward has no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone and, if you allow it, in your own Apple Health record. We do not collect, receive, see, sell, or share your data. It leaves your device only when you choose to export or share your report.

02What Sunward stores, and where

Sunward stores the following only on your device (and in your private Apple Health record if you grant permission):

• Your check-in results (PHQ-9 and GAD-7 scores and answers)
• Moods, journal notes, and any photos you add
• Medications, doses taken, dose changes, and side effects you log
• Your profile (name, clinician name, treatment start date, appointment date) — all optional
• App preferences (appearance, reminder settings)

We do not operate servers that receive this information. There is no cloud account and no login.

03Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you connect Apple Health, Sunward may, with your permission:

• Write your check-in results (PHQ-9, GAD-7) and mood states to your Health record, so your data stays in one place you control.
• Read sleep, step count, and heart-rate variability to show whether daily patterns track with how you feel.

Health data accessed through HealthKit is used only to provide features inside Sunward. In accordance with Apple's requirements, we do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing, do not share it with third parties, and do not sell it. Your private journal notes are never written to Apple Health. You can change or revoke Health permissions any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.

• No account or sign-in
• No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
• No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, no third-party trackers
• No location data
• We do not build profiles about you or sell or share any information, because we never receive it

For Apple's "App Privacy" label, this corresponds to Data Not Collected.

05Sharing and exporting

The only time your information leaves your device is when you generate and share your doctor report (for example via the iOS share sheet — Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or saving a PDF). At that point you control where it goes. We are not involved in and do not receive that transmission.

06Children

Sunward is intended for adults managing their own treatment. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

07Your control and data deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it:

• Delete individual entries within the app.
• Delete the Sunward app to remove its on-device data.
• Manage or delete anything written to Apple Health from the Health app.

08Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
